Lead, direct and manage the Building Maintenance Division of the Office of Development & Facilities Management (ODFM) in its responsibilities for the maintenance, upkeep and cleaning of structures, ensuring technical and contractual compliance. This includes overseeing the condition and functionality of all buildings, infrastructure, roads, drainage systems and landscaping to ensure they are in proper order, safe, environmentally sustainable and efficient in operation to meet the University’s objectives, adhering to budget constraints and established standards, while working in close collaborations with other key divisions.

Responsibilities

Building Management

• Leads a team of technical professionals to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all buildings and infrastructure across the NTU Campus and other locations in Singapore. This includes the planning for upgrades and improvement works to ensure all facilities remain in excellent condition, fostering an environment conducive and safe to teaching and research activities.

Operational Management

Direct the daily operations of the Division on:  

• Preventive and cyclical maintenance alongside cleaning services for buildings and infrastructure

• Strategic planning for upgrade and enhancement of existing facilities, incorporating both short-term and long-term timelines, improving coordination of these efforts with other divisions within ODFM and other departments

• Assessment and approval of work requests to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures           

• Continuous assessment to improve the safety provisions in communal spaces areas

• Engage in environmental sustainability initiatives
   

Contract Management                                                                                            

• Oversee the development of term contracts for essential services including building services maintenance, cleaning services, waste disposal, landscaping, pest control, painting and other projects

• Organise regular building and façade inspections

• Manage the tender process for term and adhoc projects        

• Evaluate tender reports and make recommendations for executive approval

Financial Stewardship                                                                                                                       

• Lead the preparation and submission of annual budget proposals, ensuring alignment with financial guidelines and objectives.

• Monitor and control the budget throughout the financial year to ensure that department operations stay within allocated budget.

General Administration                                                                                                             

• Continually review and innovate work processes, implementing new strategies where beneficial

• Participate as a key member of steering and working committees for major university-wide projects or initiatives.

• Review and assessment of Lease Agreements for leases of spaces within and outside of NTU, in coordination with other relevant departments

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Building/Estate/Facilities Management or related fields

• Registered professional in relevant field would be an advantage

• At least 20 years’ experience in estate and facility management, consultancy, project management or related filed within the estate, building or construction industry, managing properties of at least 0.5 million square meters GFA and overseeing an annual maintenance budget of $5 million

• Strong in technical knowledge, facilities management, contract negotiation and management, and financial and budgeting skills

• Well-rounded understanding and appreciation of various related disciplines within the industry

•    Provide direct supervision of engineering staff's daily activities.

•    In conjunction with the FM and Asst. FM, support the daily shift change meetings, providing direction for each staff member on their daily or weekend activities, incorporating vacation, sick and personal day absences (via Purely HR) as well as overtime requirements.

Une offre d’apprentissage intitulée « Apprenti(e) ingénieur en maintenance aéronautique et opérations aéroportuaires du futur (f/h) » vient de s'ouvrir au sein de la division Airbus Commercial sur son site de Toulouse Blagnac. 

Vous rejoindrez une équipe de 11 personnes au sein du département « Aircraft Maintenance Operations » du bureau d’étude d’Airbus en charge de définir et spécifier comment seront maintenus les futurs avions d’Airbus. Vous serez opérationnellement rattaché à l’expert senior chargé des opérations de maintenance et aéroportuaires et vous travaillerez avec les équipes de recherche, développement et d’innovation.

Cet apprentissage consistera à contribuer à la maturation technique des nouvelles technologies de maintenance et d’opérations aéroportuaires qui peuvent être travailler en commun au sein du groupe Airbus (Commercial, Defense and Space, Hélicoptère).

Cet apprentissage débutera en septembre / octobre 2024 pour une durée de 3 ans. 

Tâches et responsabilités: 

Encadré par votre tuteur, avec le support de la communauté d’experts, vous développerez vos compétences en travaillant sur les activités suivantes: 

● Cartographier les initiatives de recherche et d’innovation des différentes divisions d’Airbus associées à la maintenance et aux opérations aéroportuaires

● Identifier les opportunités techniques communes entre les divisions et préparer les dossiers pour justifier de l’intérêt de mettre en commun le développement de certaines technologies

● Sur une ou plusieurs de ces technologies, assurer la coordination des travaux associés ainsi que supporter une partie du développement technologique

● Supporter la préparation des feuilles de route de déploiement progressif et d’industrialisation de ces technologies au sein du groupe

Compétences & Prérequis : 

Vous allez intégrer une formation de niveau BAC+5 (cycle ingénieur après CPGE) dans le domaine de l’ingénierie généraliste ou aéronautique pour un apprentissage d’une durée de 2 ou 3 ans.

Vous avez les connaissances et compétences suivantes : 

● aéronautique et nouvelles technologies (digital, robotique, IA, …)

● Ingénierie des systèmes embarqués

● Sens de l'organisation, autonomie, prise d'initiative, 

● Curiosité et créativité

● Communication et esprit d'équipe

Et plus précisément, vous rejoindrez le département « Customer Service Technical Data Systems » chargé de développer, fournir et maintenir à jour la documentation de maintenance des avions directement utilisée par nos clients (compagnies aériennes, MRO (Maintenance Repair Operations), bailleurs).

Ces manuels de maintenance permettent l'accomplissement sûr et efficace des opérations de maintenance tout au long du cycle de vie de l'avion, conformément aux exigences et à la réglementation en matière de navigabilité.

Cet apprentissage consistera à participer à des projets d'amélioration de nos produits et de la satisfaction de nos clients.

Ce poste nécessite une habilitation de sécurité ou nécessite d'être éligible à une habilitation par les autorités reconnues.

Tâches et responsabilités:

Encadré par votre tuteur, vous développerez vos compétences en travaillant sur les activités suivantes :

Participation au projet d'implémentation de l'expertise technique:

• Comprendre les systèmes;

• Mettre en place une veille technologique sur les impacts des nouvelles technologies et de l'évolution de la maintenance;

An apprenticeship offer entitled « Apprentice in Maintenance Documentation and Customer Support (f/m) » has just opened within Commercial Aircraft division at its Blagnac - Wing Campus - Toulouse site.

You will join a team of 9 individuals within « Airbus customer service department » this role is ideal for someone looking to develop foundational skills in aircraft maintenance and eager to learn in a dynamic environment focused on customer satisfaction.

Specifically, you'll be part of the « Customer Service Technical Data Systems » department, responsible for developing, providing, and maintaining up-to-date maintenance documentation directly used by our customers (airlines, MRO (Maintenance Repair Operations), lessors).

These maintenance manuals ensure safe and effective maintenance operations throughout the aircraft's lifecycle, in compliance with airworthiness requirements and regulations. Within our department, responsible for producing technical data for all aircraft systems, your activities will focus on Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Troubleshooting Manual (TSM), and Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) for all Airbus aircraft programs.

This apprenticeship will start in September / October 2024 for a duration of 1 to 3 years.

This position requires a security clearance or eligibility for clearance by recognized authorities.

Tasks and responsibilities:

You will be under the responsibility of a manager who will help you to identify your professional objectives and support you in the development of your skills.
You will contribute to the following main activities: 

Participating in the implementation project of technical expertise:
