Location: Liskeard School and Community College

Contract: Fixed-term, maternity cover until end of September 2025

Salary: Grade G4 £27,568 per annum pro rata, pay award pending

Actual Salary: approx. £24,450 per annum pay award pending (the quoted actual salary is for 12 months and will be pro rata for the actual duration of the fixed-term contract)

Hours: 37 hours per week - Term time plus 12 days which includes 5 in-service training (INSET) days and 7 additional working days within the school holidays as agreed with your line manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced administrator with great attention to detail to provide administrative support to all HR processes throughout the school. The role is based at the school where you will work closely with key staff including the Operations Manager and Trust HR team. You will be the first point of contact for HR related enquiries from colleagues in the school and will provide support and guidance to a range of work including recruitment processes and payroll administration.

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your work are an essential part of this role. You will be using ICT systems on a daily basis and should be confident and competent in using Microsoft packages, and able to learn new systems quickly. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are important as you will be liaising with colleagues across the school and producing written documents.

Previous experience of working in a school setting or in a human resources role are desirable, however training and support will be provided. The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential and you will be expected to follow data protection guidance in all of your work.

- Perform asbestos sampling and utilise TEAMS asbestos database software for reporting.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and pro-active individual to work in our busy College learning centres/libraries.
Successful candidates will be required to manage the communal spaces and conduct 1 to 1 sessions with students so should have an organised and approachable manor.
Applicants must have excellent IT and organisational skills, good customer service skills, and enjoy working with young people. The key duties of the post will be assisting in the day-to-day operations of the learning centres. Previous experience in a similar environment or within a library role would be beneficial but is not essential.
