What you’ll be doing

Working as our next Health Physics Monitor, your daily roles and responsibilities will include carrying out activities to support regulatory compliance primarily with the Ionising Radiations Regulations and Environmental Permitting Regulations.

The range of activities include, but are not limited to routine radiation and contamination surveys, radioactive source accountancy, radiation and contamination instrument first line repairs and calibrations, clearance monitoring, environmental monitoring, sampling and analysis of radioactive effluents, solid radioactive waste processing, on-job monitoring for Operations and Maintenance as required.

You will also be required to participate in the nuclear emergency scheme and will receive suitable remuneration for this.

Who you are

We’re looking for you to hold a basic understanding of legislation and company processes relevant to Radiological Protection. As a minimum as well, you will be qualified to GCSE level or higher within relevant fields including Mathematics and English and candidates with a C&G in Radiation Safety Stage 1 will have a distinct advantage. Additional qualifications supporting knowledge in a role like this would be desirable.

Previous experience of working within a Radiological Protection environment along with a strong understanding of radiation safety practice in the nuclear field would be desirable.

The Role

You will join a team of therapists who are experts at what they do. You will be providing professional advice and beauty treatments for our customers to ensure they have the best in-store experience.

You will offer the following treatments:

Nails (manicure and pedicure), Threading, Tinting, Facial & Brow waxing, Lash extensions and Piercing.

We offer in-house professional training in Threading, Tinting, Waxing, Piercing & Lash extensions.

About You

• Possess, NVQ 2 in beauty Therapy or equivalent
• A desire to exceed customers' expectations
• Confident in approaching customers and upselling services and products
• Passionate about all thing's beauty

Notes: F/T Hrs - Full time but via long days 8-8. Weekends are 10-6 and you get about one every 4-5 roughly, every Friday. Mental Health experience would be essential so the candidate(s) can offer assessment and interventions as guided by the team.Skills in relation to risk management around mental health ideally. Physical health desirable.

If have skills and experience treating young people or adults within a crisis team or community mental health team then this would be valuable. However would consider other CVs and offer guidance around this.The candidates would be required to work with yp and families Good skills in assessment of yp needs and being able to consider treatment pathways based on this.

Ability to work independently but also part of a team in terms of offering interventions. They will be supported in the delivery of interventions as part of a team as appropriate to the yp needs and their knowledge and experience.

To guide assessment, formulation and treatment planning for people with mental health problems, this will include developing formulations for patients, and to assist other practitioners in primary and secondary care including voluntary sector workers to develop formulations as appropriate in relation to their caseload. To act as lead professional for a caseload of people with mental health difficulties and developing their care plan, coordinating and reviewing their care and treatment outlined in the plan, at times offering direct individual and group interventions to these and other patients where appropriate. To promote best practice in positive risk management amongst teams working with this patient group. To provide liaison into Primary and Secondary Care services, building relationships with GPs and other health professionals. To participate in wider multidisciplinary working across primary and secondary care services. Ensure that carers needs are assessed, and appropriate intervention or onward referral is provided depending on need. To work collaboratively and flexibly with the multi-professional teams within Neighbourhoods to co-ordinate a coherent approach towards a mild to severe mental illness, actively promoting continuity of care and approach between services and to co-ordinate working practices. To participate actively in team meetings, PCN MDTs and other forums as appropriate in order to secure best possible clinical outcomes To ensure that there is adherence to local policies and practice.
