YOUR CORE PURPOSE WILL BE:


To direct the activities of the Engineering Department to ensure the achievement of established quality and guest service standards.
Perform preventive/regular maintenance and repairs to all areas of the hotel.

Have thorough knowledge of all plants and equipment in the hotel and maintain these in efficient working order by following routine maintenance procedures.
Be responsible for the Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule ensuring all tasks are carried out in accordance with the schedule.
Carry out weekly fire alarm checks within the hotel and act in line with standards operating procedures.
Maintain/order parts and supplies in a timely and efficient manner while minimising waste and maintaining “green” initiatives
May be responsible for hotel security to minimise risk of theft, crime and other hazards
Have knowledge of and manage hotel security, emergency procedures, FLS and crisis management.
Host the monthly FLS and Crisis Management meetings and distribute the meeting minutes.
Liaise with contractors on site to ensure that Permits to Work are completed in compliance with Company Health & Safety Procedures. Act as Clerk of Works to regulate work carried out by contractors.
Carry out work on ad hoc projects using your skills and knowledge to ensure the most efficient and effective outcome for the hotels.
Respond to call outs in line with rota and department standard practice.
Perform other duties as assigned. May also serve as a manager on duty.


WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:


Hands-on experience in managing all the key functions required of a Maintenance Manager, also a comprehensive understanding of functions such as finance, safety, health and hygiene.
Be able to foster collaboration with all stakeholders and has experience to deal and negotiate with contractors, suppliers and other partners.

As Assistant Aparthotel Manager, you will effectively manage the hotel optimally. Working closely with, the Assistant Aparthotel Manger you will be committed to achieving and exceeding all targets financial and operational, with an emphasis on planning, delivering an exceptional customer experience and driving standards. In this role, you will proactively drive Operational, HR, Cost Control, Sustainability, and Health & Safety initiatives throughout the hotel to maximise profitability and ensure a safe and hospitable environment for customers and staff

Key Responsibilities

• Drive a great working environment with the hotel teams – connect departments to create a sense of being one team.
• Develop and maintain great working relationships with key clients and outside contacts to increase revenue.
• Manage the day-to-day operation ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and experience
• Keeping the team up to date about departmental, hotel and company activities through communication meetings and taking appropriate actions for improvement.
• Work with Aparthotel Manager to produce monthly performance reports, forecasts and an annual finance budget.
• Actively participate in the Revenue Management process to ensure the market's outperformance against the hotel's competitive set.
• Proactively encourage development and motivation for self and others.
• Work with the sales team in Identifying, communicating and supporting all sales leads.
• Actively participating in the recruitment process and contributing to the recruitment decisions ensuring the right people are hired into the business to deliver results.
• Management of the safety policy and fire register.
• Ensure maintenance of the building is of a high standard at all times
• Following company control procedures in accordance with the internal audit requirements.
• Understanding relevant Health & Safety legislation and the implications on the operation of departments including HACCP & COSHH.
• Awareness of the emergency procedures, full knowledge of the compliance policies, ensuring that all staff and supervisors are similarly aware and policies practised
• Lead marketing efforts to upsell guests on hotel services, offerings, and amenities.
• Work closely with both General Managers, the Head Office team, and representatives of local community groups within the cities to ensure constant high-profile exposure for the property

Finance Director ( Hospitality)

Our client is a leading hospitality brand and would be expanding further with 2 more clubs in Asia in 2024.

Summary

The Finance Director will lead the Group finance team in all finance and accounting activities. They will assist the CEO & Founder with leadership of the wider business, and work cross-functionally with the other leaders in the business to progress the Group towards its wider commercial goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership & Overall

• Lead all finance functions, across Singapore, Hong Kong and Bali.
• Cross-functional leadership with the management teams in all markets.
• Get involved outside of the Finance Team and maintain connections with other departments within the Group.
• Build relationships with key business partners.
• Work across departments, and with executive leadership, and to drive business goals on a day-to-day basis.
• Assist CEO and Founder with new project development, pitching and execution.

Finance & Accounting

• Manage all aspects of day-to-day Accounting, covering General Ledger, AR (aka ‘Membership Finance’), AP, and all internal and external Reporting.
• Lead creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual Forecasts for the Group, and the reporting of delivery against them.
• Manage teams, to ensure the team’s objectives are met to a high standard.

IT & Systems

· Display and inculcate expertise with business systems, to drive their effective use as a key reporting, control, and analytical tool.

People

• Assist CEO with management of HR function. (Note a must)
• Support and demonstrate our Brand’s vision, mission, and core values always, demonstrating and leading with integrity, accountability, and a commitment to success.
• Lead the recruitment and selection of finance team members.
• Maximise the effectiveness of the team members by developing each of their skills and abilities through appropriate training, coaching, and/or mentoring.

Administration

• Ensure all properties are adhering to all Company Finance Policies and Procedures, and relevant accounting standards.
• Ensure that government-stipulated associate and tax legislations are followed.
• Ensure that an organized, up-to-date filing system is maintained for all financial records.
• Responsible for ensuring that all internal and external and governmental reports are compiled accurately and submitted in a timely manner.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 10-12 years of relevant experience in success-oriented environment and someone who has a hands on and strategic approach
• Experience working cross-departmentally to drive commercial action, working in small and large firms will be a big plus
• CA / ACCA / CPA / CIMA qualified or equivalent
• Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experience in developing reports and reporting against them.
• Good exposure to different financial systems for accounting, project management, and group reporting.
• Strong team player with a proactive attitude, good interpersonal skills, and an analytical mind.
