About the role:
LRN is looking for a Revenue Accounting Associate to work with our Finance team. The right candidate for this role likes to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating with teams across the globe. The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data, primarily in the areas associate with typical order-to-cash functions. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills to best support the accounting team.
What you’ll have the opportunity to do:
- Entry of contracts in NetSuite for the opportunities closed in Sales force for the month.
- Reconciliation of the contracts entered and closed won opportunities for the monthly book close.
- Maintain and reconcile the deferred revenue schedule monthly.
- Custom revenue recognition and its reconciliation for the monthly book close.
- Reconciliation of the unbilled revenue and co-ordinating with Billing team for sending out the invoice. Understand the projects and escalate where necessary.
- Journal entry creation for unbilled revenue and Long-term revenue.
- Providing support during audit at the yearend consolidated audit of the company.

#Must have skills
- BA / BS Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar field
- At least 2 years of relevant job experience
- Ability and willingness to travel to our Mumbai office at least 3 days per week
- Ability to work from home, as needed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks
- Ability to sit in front of a computer looking at a computer screen for long periods of time
- Proficiency with a computer
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and various accounting software programs
- Keen attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving
- Able to maintain confidentiality
