The Senior Air Quality Analyst is responsible for supporting the development of research, insights, and innovations in the areas of ethical AI (Artificial Intelligence), air pollution, environment, and health on behalf of Trilateral Research.

Required education and experience

Essential:

Minimum 5 years of related experience and a publication record in a relevant environmental or public health field.
Relevant professional experience in air quality, including experience of analysing air pollution data with a focus on human impact (health, economic or experiential).
Existing network in relevant space to support the uptake of our offering.

PhD qualification in related subject matter area.

3. What you’ll do

The Analysis Assurance Area is a new area aimed at investigating opportunities to refine and improve our analytical products. The area won’t be responsible for analytical quality assurance, this will still be the responsibility of the team conducting the analysis. The Analysis Assurance area will understand best practise and approaches to analysis within and external to the department to develop a framework for analytical review and improvement. It will also look at analysis and outputs to consider the data used, the analytical approach, the assumptions made, the uncertainty in the estimates and identify opportunities for increased precision.

There are up to 3 SEO roles available and they will be focussed on:

Overview of the job

The Regional Information Security and Assurance Officer (RISAL) sits within the Corporate Service function in the Probation Service region and reports directly to the Head of Corporate Services.

They will have line management responsibility for Information Security related Project Officers within the region.

The RISAL is the link between the Probation Service region and the HMPPS Information Security Team.

The geographical base for the RISAL post can be flexible within their regional area and will require travel across the region and some work in London and other locations.

Summary

The RISAL is responsible for ensuring compliance across all Probation Service units within the region with all Information Security Policy Framework requirements and ensuring all quarterly and annual departmental returns are completed and submitted in an accurate and timely manner on behalf of the Regional Probation Director who is the Information Asset Owner.

As the Subject Matter Expert, the RISAL will be required to lead investigations into all security incidents and breaches and report their findings and recommendations in full to the commissioning manager.

The RISAL will chair and manage the Regional Information Assurance Committee and will have a seat on the National Information Management Programme Board chaired by the Business Strategy and Change Lead.

Responsibilities, Activities & Duties

The job holder will be required to carry out the following responsibilities, activities and duties:

• As Subject Matter Expert, the RISAL will be the Lead investigator into information security incidents and data breaches. They will lead investigations into how incidents occur and report their findings to the commissioning officer and will give evidence when required, such as disciplinary hearings. The RISAL is responsible for ensuring all recovery actions, both for individuals and for the Service, following an incident are completed and that lessons are learned and shared to avoid future incidents across the region. They will update local policy and best practice guidance to reflect any lessons learned. The RISAL will also be the Regional Point of Contact for any investigations arising from the Information Commissioners Office ( ICO).

• The RISAL is responsible for adapting and regionalising the National Information Security Policy Frameworks into a robust and embedded local policy to deliver key milestones. Through collaboration and consultation with senior leaders across the region the RISAL will ensure the policy is implemented and embedded. The RISAL will be the driver, on behalf of the Regional Probation Director, for culture change around all aspects of the Information Security Policy Framework and Information Risk, delivering best practice.

• The RISAL will routinely undertake compliance visits across all sites in the region and will be responsible for developing and managing the Regional Risk Register appropriately, managing any emerging risks providing assurance and escalating risk where required to Regional Probation Director or HMPPS Information Security. They will identify and agree any necessary recovery actions with the site lead and monitor progress through to completion.

• Cabinet Office commission completion of an annual information security compliance statement, (Departmental health check), across Government. The RISAL is responsible for ensuring the ongoing departmental health check is completed on behalf of the Regional Probation Director, within a timely manner as stipulated by HMPPS Information Security. The RISAL will be required to understand any areas of deficiency within the Region and implement a robust strategy to improve levels of compliance across the Region.

• Provide technical expertise to ensure the Regional Probation Director and Senior Leadership Team understand their responsibilities as Information Asset Owner and Information Asset Custodians.

• Provide a monthly status report on Security Incidents/Breaches, to the Senior Leadership Team, including trends and risks analysis and demonstrating actions and mitigations the RIASL has completed and any further required recommendations for controls and mitigating actions.

• Provide technical advice and guidance to Heads of Departments to ensure the correct information is gathered to develop accurate Information Sharing Agreements (ISAs) with 3rd party providers and charities. The RISAL will be responsible for approving all ISAs on behalf of the Regional Probation Director.

• The RISAL will have line management responsibility for any Project Officer resource in the region that has been allocated to the information assurance ambitions of the region. They will be responsible for oversight of their work, formal line management of individuals, management of capability and performance, development of individuals, and day to day supervision of project officers.

• Leading on a culture change programme in the Region to ensure a positive Information Management culture is embedded across the Probation Service region making all staff are aware of best practice and their individual responsibility for information security; the RISAL will employ a range of approaches including developing and issuing bulletins to highlight key messages on lessons learned and shared best practice and innovative strategies to maximise impact.

Your Contribution

Raymarine UK Ltd are looking for a full time Product Assurance Engineer to be a part of our highly experienced Engineering team based at our Fareham Office, UK. The successful candidate will be an experienced engineer with combined marine experience who will be able to apply their skills to ensure our products and features are fit for purpose, easy to use and robust. Product testing will be carried out in development and acceptance environments, using manual and automated test tools and processes. Working closely with the software development and test teams, the Product Assurance Engineer will be a key contributor to the overall success of releasing products on time, cost and quality.

Responsibilities Include:

• Input to requirements capture for assigned projects from a mariners and/or test perspective

• Develop, create and conduct complex test plans that can be used by other team members to assess product performance & reliability

• Engineering QA – provide resource to control product build status/highlight issues within product development

• Benchmarking – conduct comparison/benchmark tests as a part of research & development for new and potential products

• Quality policy – ensure all activities meet the spirit of the policy

• Training – identify additional training appropriate for current or future work

• Carry out and contribute to risk assessments regarding issues from a mariner or users perspective

• Provide coverage & status reports for executed tests

To be ready to take on this role we would love if you have:

• A high level of technical discipline (electrical, electronic or software test)

• Significant experience in a relevant technical role (eg: Electronics engineer)

• Significant experience in a relevant marine domain role (eg: RYA Instructor)

• Experience with scripting skills eg: Python

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills 

• Fluent in English, both verbal and written

• Relevant software testing experience would be a bonus

As the designated Level IV northeastern New York (NENY) Regional Perinatal Center (RPC), Albany Medical Center provides transport and consultation services to all birthing hospitals in a 25-county area of northeastern New York and western New England, and is responsible to provide quality oversight to each affiliate hospital within the region. The RN Regional Quality Specialist works collaboratively with the RPC team and each hospital team to support quality improvement and improve maternal and neonatal outcomes for birthing families.

Salary range: $65,057.00-107,343.00 annually

• Works with Perinatal Outreach team to provide quality oversight to regional affiliate hospitals. Works with affiliate hospital medical, nursing, and quality management staff to identify, develop, and implement perinatal quality improvement initiatives.
• Participates with Perinatal Outreach team in site visit process to affiliate hospitals. Responsibilities include maternal and neonatal case review/preparation, assisting with agenda development, shared facilitation of agenda, identification of opportunities, and follow-up correspondence/support.
• Works with obstetrical and neonatal medical and nursing staff at the RPC to follow maternal and neonatal transports admitted to RPC. Assist with communication to referring obstetrician/pediatrician on status of patient as needed. Assures follow-up and closure of all referrals and issues.
• Serves as a resource to affiliate hospitals and community programs on issues related to perinatal clinical policy/protocol, perinatal quality improvement, and perinatal data. Collaborates with CNS-NPs in Obstetrics and Neonatology at the RPC to support these needs.
• Works with Perinatal Outreach team, including Regional Data Coordinator, in perinatal data review, analysis, and presentation. Serves as a resource/support to RPC staff and regional committees that review and use perinatal data. 
• Works/collaborates to support Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement activities and needs of Albany Medical Center as RPC and is a member of related internal quality improvement teams.
• Works with Perinatal Outreach team to identify perinatal educational needs in the region and serves as a resource/support in developing regional educational plan/programs.
• Collaborates with other professional state and local perinatal programs and associations, representing Albany Medical Center and the region. 
• Coordinator for Albany Med childbirth education classes.

Qualifications:

Registered Nurse with clinical experience in Obstetric and/or Neonatal Nursing required. Masters degree preferred, bachelor's degree required. Hybrid eligible after orientation period.
