Base Location: Oxford
This role is mobile and predominantly field based and we need someone within commuting distance of the Oxford depot
Salary: £33,063 - £38,404 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family:
- 37 hour working week.
- Up to £6,681 for overtime payments & up to £3,481 for standby payments, giving you a potential of £10,162 extra per year (subject to qualifications)
- Full PPE and tools required for the position.
- Access to a company vehicle.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time
We are looking for a Tree Cutting Quality & Safety Inspector (QSI) to join our team.
In this role you will take overall responsibility for inspecting work carried out by arborists/tree cutting contractors to ensure compliance with SSEN clearance specifications.
This key role is the interface between SSEN and utility arboriculture contractors working on our behalf.
The QSI role covers a wide range of functions, key responsibilities include the following:
- Project Management with site inspections on completed works.
- Conducting on-site safety audits and data reporting.
- Customer liaison and support of planned customer interruptions.
- Contractor coaching.
- Surveying, consenting and provision of associated job packs.
What do I need?
We're looking for well organised, highly skilled individual who has a keen eye for detail and is looking to make a difference.
Ideally you will be safety driven, have a high level of self-organisation and be generally proactive in your approach.
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Utility arboriculture knowledge and experience, including UA5.1/5.2
- Safety and Customer focussed with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to identify inefficiencies and be able to suggest and implement improvements.
- IT literacy not limited to the Office 365 suite of applications.
- Full, clean, manual driving license.
