About the Role
Base Location: Peterhead Power Station, Aberdeenshire
Salary: £46,626 - £54,154 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available
As Control and Instrument Defect Technician, you will be responsible for managing and supervising maintenance activities to ensure work is executed successfully to achieve the objective of Lifecycle Delivery - Assets Remain Safe & Operational.
You will be accountable for the engineering and risk assessing packages of work to allow works to be performed safely and efficiently and directing site personnel including contractors when performing engineering works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigation of plant failures/defects and the specification and implementation of remedial action to achieve effective resolution.
- Management, supervision and setting to work of internal and external maintenance technicians to ensure all such work is executed successfully, delivered safely, on time and to budget.
- Ensure works are assigned to personnel with appropriate competencies and performed safely in line with Safe Systems of Work.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- HNC level or equivalent qualification in an appropriate engineering discipline, with experience in an engineering or maintenance position at a thermal power station or other heavy industry.
- Experienced in the management and supervision of contract and in-house resources, providing safety and technical leadership.
- Comprehensive understanding of control & instrumentation systems, plant and equipment within the remit of the role. Previous Siemens T3000 experience advantageous.
- Familiarity with Maximo computerised maintenance management system would be advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidiscipline team to troubleshoot complex technical problems.
