These positions are located at Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks in the Division of Interpretation, Education and Partnerships, and are supervised by the parks' Transportation Specialist. These parks receive significant visitation (~1.7 million annually) and administratively are among the most complex units of the National Park Service. These parks include some 550 permanent and temporary federal employees as well as over 1,000 volunteers who provide a wide range of public service and support operations which are similar to operations more typically found in a municipal city. These are five major divisions, each of which is further subdivided into functional branches.

Duties:

• Monitors vehicular traffic levels against pedestrian traffic and controls intersections with regards to safety and smooth flow of vehicles.
• Monitors parking lots, directing vehicles including buses and recreational vehicles to appropriate parking stalls.
• Answers a variety of visitor questions.
• Explains regulations to park visitors and provides information and advice on park activities and cultural, historic, and/or natural resources history and location.
• Provides public orientation and explanations of current park events and informs visitors of potential safety hazards.
• Provides a wide range of services to visitors, including assistance with lost articles, lost parties, car trouble, and first aid (within parameters of current certification); and provides information about weather conditions, highway routes, park and concessioner facilities, and prices.
• Reports to supervisor and public use/recreation/traffic violations or individual visitor use problems or problematic trends, describes extend of problem and makes on the spot corrections whenever appropriate, reports names of witnesses and/or involved persons when possible. Anticipates traffic/parking management problems and suggestions to immediate supervisor.

The person(s) in this position work closely with staff in the 0025 - Park Ranger series. There may be opportunities for the person(s) in this position to provide interpretive programming (such as interpretive talks, evening campfire programs, and guided walks), to the public, depending on interest and ability.

The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period is April but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: April-May 2025.

Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks represent an extraordinary continuum of ecosystems (96% designated wilderness) arrayed along the greatest vertical relief (1,370 to 14,505 feet elevation) of any protected area in the lower 48 states. They are the highest, most rugged reaches of the Sierra Nevada Mountains (including Mount Whitney at 14,500 feet elevation) and feature the world's largest trees - Giant Sequoias. Sequoia National Park is the nation's second oldest national park (established September 25, 1890) and encompasses 404,863 acres. Kings Canyon was established on March 4, 1940 and encompasses 458,847 acres. Starting at $17 Per Hour (GS 4)

These positions work in Yosemite National Park performing lead traffic management duties in support of the park wide operations of the Division of Resource and Visitor Protection, law enforcement office. The purpose of the position is to provide guidance and leadership to traffic control aids in the mitigation and management of traffic congestion, facilitation of visitor traffic flow around emergency scenes, controlling parking, and providing information to visitors as necessary.

Duties:

• Serves as shift lead for up to 10 employees. Leads Traffic Control Aids in the monitoring of vehicular traffic levels against pedestrian traffic and leads the control on intersections with regards to safety and the smooth flow of vehicles.
• Personally observes and monitors parking lots, directs buses and motor homes to appropriate parking stalls, close parking lots when full. Reports information to supervisor.
• Drives government vehicles on park roads and or state federal highways including outlying areas of the park.
• Leads staff or personally provides traffic control in and around emergency scenes as directed by park law enforcement personnel.
• Reports to supervisor or law enforcement dispatchers any public use and or traffic violations or visitor use problems or emergencies via radio communications or in person.

These positions work in Yosemite National Park performing traffic management duties in support of the park wide operations of the Division of Resource and Visitor Protection, law enforcement office. • Drives government vehicles on park roads and/or state and federal highways including outlying areas of the park. This activity includes supporting convoy operations of commercial vehicles, visitors and/or employees through construction areas or other hazardous conditions as directed.
• Provides traffic control in and around emergency scenes as directed by park law enforcement personnel. This may include helicopter landing areas, search and rescue operations, fire zones and park closures as assigned.
• Reports to supervisor or law enforcement dispatchers any public use and/or traffic violations or visitor use problems or emergencies via radio communications or in person.

Subsea7 are looking for a Quality Engineer to join our Pipeline Group (PG) based in the Old Kilpatrick, Glasgow office on a full-time, permanent basis. We would also consider applicants with the right experience at a Senior Engineer level.

The Quality Engineer will report directly to the PG HSEQ Manager and provide direct guidance, support, and advice with regards to the use of professional Quality tools, principles and strategies to PG projects and support rigid pipeline site quality readiness and performance.

The chosen candidate will support project quality requirements through effective planning and be the focal point for all quality matters on each project assigned by the HSEQ and Quality Portfolio Manager as required.

Continually develop, maintain, and refine project quality plans and activities through effective participation in project meetings and liaising with project managers, PG technical discipline engineers, workshop and site supervision etc.

What will you be doing?

Review client and international pipeline fabrication specifications and standards (including DNV-ST-F101, API 1104, SA Schedule Q) as well as generating and adhering to inspection and test plans
Attend project planning meetings updating any changes to Q/QC requirements on the mobilisation matrix (increased / decreased inspection requirements)
Schedule and conduct internal and external audits and verifications
Construct and mmonitor project generated procedures and ensure the implementation of the Subsea7 Business Management Systems on the project
Monitor product and service quality on each assigned project at suppliers and sub-contractor facilities in line with project deliverables
Participate in the non-conforming review (NCR) process including reporting of NCRs (internal, Supplier and Subcontractor), identifying corrective and preventative measures and facilitating NCR close-out
Participate in root cause analysis investigations for any Internal Quality Failures (IQF’s) or Supplier Performance Issues (SPI’s)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Verifies, issuances, monitors, reviews and tracks the completion of the following the Non-Conforming products. (Test CAR, MRB, 8D and MVI FA as applicable).
• Prepares periodic report such as: Quality Gate Reject, Subcon Score Card, MRB hold lots, CAR/8D, CAT’s, Trends and other applicable quality monitoring report
• Communicates issues, concerns and information to appropriate team either internal or external.
• Conducts training or refresher on defect criteria to AMPI operators and inspectors regarding inspection (visual/electrical) requirement as part of their certification to ensure high quality inspection. This includes Subcontractors if applicable.
• Coordinate with the Training System Core Group (TSCG) on any changes that needs to be implemented to ensure effectiveness of the certification process.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• College graduate preferably Engineering.
• At least 2 years of QA Engineering  and/or related industry
