To oversee the development and delivery of communications and engagement plans to support major trust-wide projects, providing leadership and expert advice, ensuring communications plans align with broader communications strategies including staff engagement and involvement programmes. To work with senior managers to identify and develop communications campaigns to support the organisation in meeting its strategic objectives, providing strategic advice and expertise to enable opportunities for feedback, involvement and contribution to decision-making. Information Resources To draft reports summarising status on issues, appraising outcomes, and providing progress reports for the Director of Communications and Engagement and, where necessary, attend relevant meetings to deliver those reports and advise on communications issues. To commission and brief designers, developers, communications agencies and other external suppliers; ensuring that expenditure stays within agreed budget. Job Description

As an Executive, Events & Communications, you will be joining the SEC Corporate Communications team. We are looking for a committed team player responsible for implementing the communications strategy of the SEC as developed by the Corporate Communications Manager. You will be interacting with multiple stakeholders across the organisation and will be expected to form a solid understanding of the different research programmes and projects to be able to fully support their needs, as directed by your supervisor.

Your responsibilities will include the following tasks:

Events Management

• Organise and facilitate Singapore-ETH Centre events and support other events where the centre is a partner (e.g., CREATE Symposium, ETH Global events)
• Provide publicity support for events organised by the Singapore-ETH Centre’s research programmes via social media posts & photography
• Support colleagues in creating professional and successful ground-up events (e.g. project launch, project showcase, book launch etc.) through consultation on event management etc.
• Manage speaking engagement requests by screening the requests, scoping the topics, identifying potential speakers, and briefing the speakers in collaboration with the Corporate Communications Manager

Social Media Content Management (Development & Campaign Support)

• Implement social media content strategy that will increase engagement with existing audience and gain new audience
• Conduct research analysis on industry trends and target audience needs to inform content development.
• Create and schedule visual and multimedia content for social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram & TikTok
• Responsible for ensuring timely updates on all owned social media channels

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in: Graphic Design, Multimedia Arts, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field with a minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
• Proven experience in graphic design, videography, social media, and multimedia content creation
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve, After Effects) or similar software
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and their content requirements
• Excellent creativity, storytelling, and visual communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Candidates with portfolios will be preferred
