The primary purpose of this position is to as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) officer position, to serve as an assistant to the Maintenance Group Commander and as such, reviews policy and assists the Senior ART/Maintenance Group (MXG) Commander in planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, and controlling all activities and operations of the Maintenance Group. MAJOR DUTIES:

This Maintenance Mechanic position is assigned to the Facilities Division of Big Bend National Park and directly reports to the Supervisor for Buildings and Utilities. As a SURFACE MAINTENANCE REPAIRER (Title 32) with the Texas Army National Guard, your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

• Performs limited diagnosis, routine repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty mobile equipment, combat, tactical and automotive vehicles. Assists higher graded mechanics in the repair and/or overhaul of major systems to include internal combustion engines, turbine engines, automatic and non-automatic transmissions, heavy duty drive line systems, and hydraulic utility systems and controls.
