The Summer Analysts will receive real-world work, and will be expected to add value to their teams during the 10 weeks.  In addition to their daily work, the Summer Analysts will also have the opportunity to network with other Citi interns, current program participants and alumni, and other HR professionals.  The program concludes with the Summer Analysts presenting their accomplishments and lessons learned to the Senior HR Management team.

The Human Resource Lead position is responsible for leading the execution of the human resources, scheduling and cash office functions. Responsibilities include associate recruitment, hiring, on-boarding, benefits, employee relations, training, performance, policy communication, and scheduling. The Human Resource Lead is a non-exempt role reporting to the Human Resource Manager or Store Manager.

• Ensure that Associate on-boarding is executed proficiently, accurately and in a timely manner. Ensures I-9/E-Verify and background check compliance

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Hiring salary for this position is $24.69 - $30.86 hourly.

This position will provide general administrative support and coordination of multiple Human Resource functions such as learning and development, benefits, compensation, recruiting as well as support with employee events and additional special projects. • Administer the Tuition Assistance Program, including tracking, updating communication materials, keeping accurate records, providing correspondence to applicants and verifying eligible payments

• Administer the Continuing Education Program, including updating all records and program materials, maintaining positive relationships with school contacts, organizing Career Fairs and advertising

• Responsible for processing Years of Service Awards and recognition gifts. Plans and coordinates the annual Years of Service Recognition Banquet

What You’ll Work On

Overview & Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The HR Manager develops, monitors and coordinates Human Resources policies & practices in a regional group to ensure achievement of business goals. Assists operating management in the interpretation and application of existing human resource policies, and applicable government regulations. Provides strategic and functional guidance of HR "best practices" to assist business regional leadership in meeting business objectives.

Role Responsibilities:

• Strategic partnering with regional leadership on all organizational related issues – from Org Planning & Design to Recruitment, to rationalizing HR policies

• Develops and executes people plan aligned with global and regional business objectives – organizational design, succession planning, talent management, high potential identification, etc.

• Utilizes global contacts and resources to ensure policies and procedures are in line with company initiatives.   

• Recruits, interviews and assists in selection of candidates for open position when requested by operating managers. Manages employment process to ensure a talented & diverse applicant pool.

• Advises on legal and organizational implications of various organization issues / challenges and provides solutions.

• Develops and harmonizes compensation plans within regions to help drive achievement of Business Objectives, while meeting local and regional practices.

• Identifies and implements performance management, training / employee developmental programs, to ensure region has the talent necessary to achieve their short-term and long-term business objectives.

• Participates in business unit HR leadership councils, committees and councils to support the human resource function.

• HR ‘champion’ of business strategy and culture change – leads the transformation.

Required Experience and Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.

• Five years of experience in a regional HR position. 

• Working knowledge of HR practices and regulations within the designated region.

• Strong communication skills.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• Experience supporting Union environments / locations.

• Experience with Workday.

• Background in oil and gas and / or manufacturing industries.

The Human Resources Management Summer Associate (HRMSA) Program is a 10-week internship opportunity in Tampa. The Program will provide Summer Associates with on-the-job-training supporting one or all of Citi's Business Groups (Global Consumer Banking, Institutional Clients Group, and Global Functions) within one of the following HR functions:  

• Learning and Development
• Global Rewards and Compensation
• Global Diversity and Talent Management
• Workforce Intelligence and Talent Acquisition
• HR Advisor
• HR Control and Compliance
• HR Transformation

Your time here will look something like this...

The HRMSA program begins in June with a 1-2 day training program, providing Summer Associates with an overview of Citi, a technology training session, and an introduction to Citi's Human Resources organization. The Summer Program will provide Summer Associates with Senior Mentors and Junior Mentors, networking opportunities and Senior Speaker Events where Citi's senior HR officers host discussions and answer questions about their careers and HR functions. The Summer Associates will receive real-world work, and will be expected to add value to their teams during the 10 weeks. In addition to their daily work, the Summer Associates will also have the opportunity to network with other Citi interns, current Program participants and alumni, and other HR professionals. The program concludes with the Summer Associates presenting their accomplishments and lessons learned to the Senior HR Management team. Top performing Summer Associates will be considered for the full time Human Resources Management Associate Program.

We want to hear from you if...

You are pursuing an MBA or Master's degree in any discipline with a graduation date between December 2024 and June 2025 and have at least 2-3 years of full-time work experience after your undergraduate degree (preferred disciplines include Labor and Employment/Industrial Relations, Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior/Performance, Organizational Psychology, Leadership and Management).
