This is an excellent opportunity to work in Argyll and Bute within the Council’s Regulatory Services team in a very challenging yet beautiful part of Scotland. You will undertake the full range of environmental health enforcement, including public health and food safety, and work with the team who deal with many unique challenges including its rural geographical area, large number of private water supplies and a considerable food manufacturing and export market. There will be a requirement to manage your own district workload ensuring that environmental health standards are met and be able to travel across the area to undertake operational work. This is a full time, permanent 35 hours/week post within Dunoon although consideration would be given to the base being Helensburgh.

Applicants should hold the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland (REHIS) Diploma in Environmental Health and we welcome applications from those aiming to sit their professional interview in 2024 or early 2025. We also offer a career pathway to environmental and supported training from applicants who have received confirmation from REHIS of the equivalency of their qualifications. Non qualified EHO's will be appointed as a Regulatory Services Officer on the grade £31990-39819 depending on their qualifications and experience.
