The Trust is seeking to appoint an ambitious and technically minded individual to join the finance department. Reporting to the Finance Systems Analyst, the post holder will primarily assist in the maintenance of the Trust’s eProcurement and eFinancial System, Integra Centros. With a close eye for detail, the Finance Systems Assistant will help maintain data, ensuring consistency across Integra and work in accordance with the Standing Financial Instructions.

The successful candidate will assist in testing, creating documentation and supporting process change within the Finance department. You will play an integral role within Finance, contributing to the delivery of the service, whist supporting staff and managers in the fight against cancer.

• Completing month end closedown and reconciliation
• Preparing month end journals

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


1. Acting as first point of contact for all users of the Integra software. This will include problem solving, providing user guidance within any finance applications, establishing if referral to the internal IT support or logging a service support request with the Managed Service Supplier (MSS). This will include providing supporting documentation and examples of system errors or malfunctions.
2. Maintaining aspects of the Integra system by scheduling and reviewing system jobs, completing month-end processing and general system housekeeping.
3. Maintaining procedures notes that are the responsibility of the financial systems team, ensuring that all processes and systems are documented and procedures are reviewed and updated on a regular basis in line with audit requirements.
4. Vigorously test new solutions and report problems with evidence to the designated point of contact. Report faults in the software and follow through to fix
5. Testing eForms, reports or other tools to enable process change as per agreed process flow.
6. Continually review and support users on new system processes and reporting.
7. Conforming to the monthly / annual timetables and external reporting deadlines, adhering to the system elements of the timetable, identifying issues and informing appropriate personnel as soon as these arise.
8. Validating, approving and uploading system input files such as payroll, electronic purchase invoices and journals. Resolving queries and escalating issues where appropriate.
9. Production of the NHS transparency reports, credit card expenditure journals and other ad-hoc reporting requirements.
10. Creating and maintaining complex spreadsheet/databases in MS Access / MS Excel including the use of queries, pivots, macros and formulas
11. Responsible for the provision and receipting of sensitive and confidential information and whilst adhering to regulations on internal and external data protection policy and information governance.
12. Ensuring secure and relevant access to the Integra system through the set up and maintenance of appropriate security records and user group menus to ensure this meets the requirements of segregation of duties.
13. Maintaining complex information by use of excel spreadsheets, as the post holder will demand a significant amount of time to be spent at a VDU using keyboard skills; the ability to concentrate on complex information/problems is imperative.
14. Supporting any other areas within the role of Finance Systems Assistant.

What you'll do

As our Marketing Business Partner in Corporate & Institutional Banking, we’ll look to you to lead engagement with senior business leaders on converting business Objective Key Results into a customer centric strategy, with clear activation plans. You’ll design the marketing strategy, making decisions on resources and plans to prioritise delivery on the strategy, translating these into a three-year marketing strategy with an annual plan.

You’ll lead a team of marketing professionals by translating strategy into operational management activities, along with recommending and delivering a portfolio of products and services in line with the Marketing service proposition, through effective collaboration with the Marketing Centres of Excellence and all other relevant internal and external partners. You’ll sit on our leadership committees and interface with senior leaders within CIB.

Your top priorities will include:

• Providing insight to business stakeholders on marketing strategy, including annual business planning, marketing campaigns and proposition exploration and development
• Leading and developing a professional, capable and engaged team to meet the needs of the business and customers
• Driving greater visibility of Return on Investment for marketing spend across CIB marketing plans
• Delivering accurate and reliable profiling for the broad spectrum of customers within our Corporate, Institutional and Markets businesses, allowing for personalised marketing interventions to be deployed to the appropriate decision-maker within the business
• Delivering against commercial goals through direct and response marketing, developing a consistent approach across the bank
• Acting as a spokesperson for Corporate & Institutional Banking at external engagements such as trade events and through online networks
• Identifying key marketing priorities through the provision of expert diagnostics, analysis and decision support, making recommendations to the business and Centre of Expertise
• Drawing insights from Centre of Expertise to help inform the annual C&I marketing strategy and budget

The skills you'll need

To be successful in this role, you’ll need strong influencing and stakeholder engagement levels at a senior level, with knowledge and application of marketing strategies and leadership including comprehensive end-to-end understanding of the commercial sales funnel and customer lifetime value. You'll demonstrate strategic and commercial acumen, with experience of creating a clear connection between commercial drivers and marketing strategies.

In addition, you’ll have marketing experience within a large matrix organisation and knowledge of the banking industry, regulatory and commercial environment, specifically corporate and institutional banking including financial and capital markets.

Furthermore, you’ll need:

• Marketing technical expertise including Global Corporates, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Real Money Funds, Global Insurers, Non-Bank Financial Institutions, Structured Finance, and Markets
• The ability to make data driven decisions and support a culture of continuous improvement
• Cross-border marketing experience in key geographical markets aligned to NatWest’s Commercial & Institutional franchise, including European Economic Area, United States, Singapore, and Japan
• Experience of leading diverse, professional teams
• Experience of operational and financial planning with budget management experience
• A high level of drive, energy and personal commitment to success
• Demonstrated experience in understanding and communicating complex commercial models of value to a broad audience of stakeholders and collaborators
• Knowledge of relevant legal policies, regulations and risk management
