Senior Finance Officer

We are looking for a Senior Finance Officer to join our Capital Accounting team. As a Senior Finance Officer, you will be ambitious and enjoy a varied role within a busy and supportive team. In this role you will predominantly be responsible for supporting the reconciliation of accounts to ensure income and expenditure is appropriately accounted for, whilst also ensuring data is accurately recorded. The ideal candidate will come from a finance background and will possess excellent data analysis skills.
The role of Senior Finance Officer will include:
- Providing accurate and timely financial information whilst maintaining effective financial systems, to support decision making and business planning
- Maintaining relationships with other areas of the business including Development Finance, Property Services and Customer Service Centre
- Providing an effective administration service ensuring workloads are manageable in line with business requirements.
- Identifying areas for improvement and shortfalls in service delivery and recommending actions to remedy this, as appropriate
- Maintenance of the fixed asset register including additions, disposals and transfers.
Skills and experiences:
- AAT part/fully qualified, or equivalent level of qualification is desirable
- Knowledge of the types of information held on an asset register is desirable
- Previous experience in a similar transactional finance role along with strong analytical skills is essential.
- The ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise work loads.
- Excellent communication, customer service skills with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications with proven excel analysis skills using a variety of functions and formulas.
- Previous experience using SAP would be an advantage

Role salary is £25,944 with an additional policy allowance of £2,853 per annum (rising to £27,309 with an additional policy allowance of £3,004 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
