The role

Day-to-day, you'll build a strong and compliant Health Safety & Environment culture throughout the whole construction life cycle of the Project. Managing the Site Project Engineering Team and the Site Permitting Team to plan, review and lead resolution on engineering challenges.

• Lead interface with MEH Engineering and the JDO when required
• Conduct document, monthly and progress reviews
• Attend CEMAR and Chair Lead meetings
• Leading the implementation of SWITCH within the Construction Team
• Conduct interviews for new team members and undertake PDRs for direct reports.

This role is full time 38 hours per week, and is based at Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater.

Essential experience of the Engineering Coordination Lead

• Experienced in delivering and operating at an Engineer or Senior Engineer level, including experience working within Joint Ventures
• Experience working on major construction projects

This Apprenticeship combines technical training, academic study, and work-based learning, and covers all the fundamental Engineering topics you need to know, such as:

This programme is delivered in partnership with our training provider, Bridgwater & Taunton College (BTC), where you’ll spend 40 weeks of your first year with Müller at their state-of-the-art training facility. From years 2 – 4, you’ll spend a combined 36 weeks with BTC, with the remainder of the time spent back at Bridgwater site to embed your learning with our team of Engineering experts, whilst continuing to work with our training provider partner to complete your apprenticeship.

As a Multi Skilled Engineering Technician you’ll provide, safe front line reactive maintenance. Actively identify root cause and bring the equipment back in to service as quickly as possible as well as actively seeking and identifying cost effective improvements to site assets and equipment, improving efficiency and reliability.

- To ensure effective handover of information across shift

Opportunity… We are currently looking to recruit an Engineering Lead, to join the Area Integration Team who ensure that there is a recommended sequence of installation of all scope across multiple contracts within their designated area; from manufacturing completion through to site construction, erection and commissioning which supports schedule integration. What you’ll be doing…
The Engineering Lead will have experience in planning and constructing complex construction projects to achieve the job purpose objectives by implementing, as a minimum, the following as appropriate for the work being performed:
- Advocating safe and effective planning of works for site construction.
- Ensuring that conventional and nuclear safety considerations are recognised as essential to the success of the project and built into the planning processes.
- Ensuring that detailed plans are developed on a facility and/or area basis which integrate, co-ordinate and sequence work activities to achieve the optimum construction sequence, paying particular attention to several contractor interfaces. - Understanding and adhering to the processes and procedures that govern the Delivery Integration Team’s scope of work and advocating their effective implementation. What you’ll be doing…
The Engineering Lead will have experience in planning and constructing complex construction projects to achieve the job purpose objectives by implementing, as a minimum, the following as appropriate for the work being performed:
- Advocating safe and effective planning of works for site construction.
- Ensuring that conventional and nuclear safety considerations are recognised as essential to the success of the project and built into the planning processes.

What you’ll be doing…


- Identifying and assessing Risks, Critical Issues and Hot Spots that may impact the MEH Programme delivery.

• Mixing hypalon sealant and spraying seal OD
• Hand assembly operations i.e. crimping PTFE, multiple seal components
• Grease application
• Fitting of garter springs which could involve modification of spring
• Laser marking

• Correct manual handling of tools and moulds
• Carry out all operations as outlined in production paperwork & SOP's
• Flexible, to be transferred to other areas of production
• Carry out all work activities in accordance with HSE requirements
• Keep work area(s) in compliance with company housekeeping standards

Education and Experience:

• Experience in a Rubber manufacturing environment is desirable

Competences:

• Good dexterity to handle small components whilst wearing gloves
• Quality conscious with strong attention to detail
• Understanding the need for quality and how it impacts on business
• Good understanding of foreign object defects, cause and rectification
• Ability to understand and complete paperwork
• Maintain standards as set by Company

Geography to cover and travel requirements:

• This position is based at TSS Bridgwater
• The role may include occasional travel for training or other site visits
• Must have proof of right to work in the UK
