Social Care & Education are looking to hire a motivated and empathic Children Home Team Leader. You will be expected to support the emotional and physical needs of all the children within the home, ensuring you provide comfort and care at all times.
As a Team Leader, your main duties will be to:
· Provide high quality care services that support the needs of children and young people
· Be an advocate for their well-being
· Provide strong, motivational leadership to the team.
· Be responsible for safeguarding and promoting individual rights
· Provide good quality care, which is free from oppression and where differences are respected and valued.
· Provide high-quality support to children and young people with emotional, mental health, and behavioural issues.
· Implement care plans and risk assessments, ensuring the well-being of each individual.
· Maintain a good level of spoken and written English to effectively communicate with individuals, families, and team members.
· Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies related to children and young people's care.
· Assist in leadership and management of the home, ensuring a safe and supportive environment
· Support staff development and training, providing guidance and feedback.
· Participate with new admission procedures for new residents.
To be a Team Leader, we require you to have:
· Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
· Training certificates in First Aid, Food Hygiene, Fire Safety, Child Protection and Behaviour Management.
· Full Driving Licence
· Effective Leadership (12 months experience) in a similar role and environment, 2-3 years’ experience working with children and young people in a similar setting.
· Working alongside multi-agencies (e.g. Social Worker)
· Excellent IT skills- able to use outlook, word and excel
· Thorough knowledge of children legislations and safeguarding procedures.
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with young people, families and professionals
· A compassionate and caring nature with a genuine desire to make a difference.
· Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings as required.

Effectively deploying and managing resources.
Proactively manage Health, Safety and Environmental issues.
Implementing continuous improvement strategies.
Delivering on some Teacher Education Programmes.

The successful candidate will be able to evidence outstanding teaching, learning and assessment practice, an understanding of the breadth of the sector and its needs and priorities, as well as excellent people management skills. You will also:

Be degree educated in a relevant discipline
Hold a teaching qualification (Cert Ed or PGCE)

As an Area Business Consultant, you'll interact with potential and existing clients to create new business chances across different sectors. This includes getting learners involved in our full range of Apprenticeship programs, funded training, or commercial training. You'll collaborate closely with your local team to meet enrolment goals and represent HIT Training Ltd at local events.

The role will include working from home, travelling to client sites and networking opportunities in your local area.

Duties will include:


Actively prospecting and identifying new business leads.
Researching potential clients and new business opportunities within your region.
Networking with local partners and clients to uncover new business opportunities.
Travelling to meet potential clients and partners to explore new business prospects.
Setting up and leading meetings and presentations to convert potential clients.
Tracking and managing new business opportunities using our CRM system.
Collaborating with the local team to prioritise new business generation and support enrollment targets.
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with new clients.
Achieving or surpassing monthly new business targets through proactive outreach.
Coordinating with area managers and internal teams to advance new business leads.
