This is a Technical Leadership role within the Business and one that would suit a candidate who has experience of managing a team of IT staff & has strong knowledge of IT Service Management frameworks (ITIL).

What Will Be Your Day to Day Responsibilities?

• General photocopying and filing.

You will also support in clerking the courtroom, which will involve:

• Speaking aloud in the courtroom and acting as liaison between jury and judge.
• Sitting beside the judge and using computers to change slides or show evidence as needed.
• Preparing all the case papers for the judge to make sure they are fully prepared for court.

Once trained it will be expected that you work across both of the Grimsby sites, these are only about a 5-minute walk apart.

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting a Customer Service Advisor for our Children’s Team on the Lincolnshire County Council contract; In this crucial and sensitive role for Children’s’ Services, you’ll be the first point of contact for anyone that calls in to Customer Services to report concerns about a child. This will include taking calls from members of the public and professionals such as Police Officers, Nurses and School Teachers. It will be your responsibility to gather as much information and detail from the caller as possible, using your professional curiosity to fact-find information and more importantly to not take anything at face value. This will all be captured by you, written up against a framework onto our system and then passed over to Children’s Social Care. The decisions that are made for the children are based on the evidence you have gathered; so, you’ll need your clear, concise, and cool-headed communication style to provide that information.

The subject matter of the calls can be very difficult, so you’ll naturally need to be a strong and resilient character and be mentally prepared to deal with situations that are sometimes harrowing and distressing. As the first port of call, you’ll also naturally need to be able to adopt an empathetic, caring and compassionate approach.

You will have exceptional customer service skills, particularly with the ability to build rapport with people in order to gather information accurately whilst talking on the phone. Lastly, you need to be able to compile information and present it in a logical manner ensuring that it is clear, concise, and error-free. Due to the nature of the role, you will be subject to a DBS check.

You will be dealing with calls from professionals (e.g. Police and Health Services), and from Members of the Public. The calls will be of a sensitive nature and you will be required to gather and process information efficiently and accurately.
To be a successful Children’s Service Customer Service Advisor you will have a passion for delivering excellent customer service and excellent communication skills. Candidates will be flexible. Good IT skills with a competency in using Microsoft Office and Windows is also essential! Where will I work?

What hours will I work?
Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be flexible to work between the hours of 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday. Where relevant you may be asked to work 9am to 4pm on a Saturday.

What training will I be given?
You will be given a full Serco Induction and then move onto service specific training; training is delivered from service matter experts from within the CSC Children’s Team, the CSC Training Team and Lincolnshire County Council.

• Apply safeguarding protocols to ensure the welfare of clients
• Run activity programs and group sessions as required
• Perform minor property maintenance, ensuring properties meet Nacro standards

THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar support role, working with young people or vulnerable groups, and must be capable of working independently within a community setting.

• Experience delivering structured support to young people
• Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection procedures
• Experience with housing and property management tasks
• Ability to respond to challenging behaviors constructively
• Strong communication and record-keeping skills

THE CONTRACT

• 35 hours per week, working on a rotating shift pattern as follows:
  • Week 1: Tuesday - Friday
  • Week 2: Monday - Thursday
  • Week 3: Thursday - Sunday
• 3-month contract with potential for extension
• £17.14 per hour LTD company rate / £14.61 per hour PAYE, inclusive of holiday

The duties of this position include but are not limited to:

• Manage complex projects and park assets.
• Develop scope, accurate budget, and goals for projects.
• Develop work breakdown structures and work plans to keep projects on tasks.
• Evaluate need for professional consultation and coordinates this consultation.
• Comply with NEPA and other compliance, resource management, and interpretation/education requirements related to complex projects.
• Manage 5-year plans for projects funded through cyclic, equipment replacement and other fund sources.
• Develop and manage a complex, multi-year budget that includes multiple accounts and fund sources.
• Supervise and manage facilities workforce to include novice and journeyman level workers.
• Mentor peers, youth program staff, and volunteers.
• Use FMSS, PMIS, budget and park partners to manage park assets in a manner that is fiscally and environmentally sustainable.
• Manage procurement and assigned controlled property.
• Maintain engagement in current safety training and demonstrates leadership in other safety program initiatives such as Operational Leadership and the Safety, Health and Wellness e-Tool.

REQUIREMENTS:

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
• Meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement for males.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain Contracting Officer Representative certification within 2 years of appointment.
