As PMO Manager you will be responsible for managing various programmes of activity within key Property and Construction workstreams across the estate, including Express stores, Refresh and Online, to support Asda's strategic growth targets.

You will collaborate and build strong day to day relationships with multiple stakeholders including Property, Finance, Construction Managers, Retail Change Managers, and other Project Managers / PMO's to ensure projects are delivered on time and as per the agreed scope. You will be required to facilitate and lead relevant internal Governance meetings, ensuring best practice is followed and compliance adopted.
The role represents a unique opportunity to ensure that our stores are fit for purpose, are market leading and provide a great shopping experience for both our colleagues and customers.
You will be part of a large cross functional team, so you will have a strong, collaborative work ethic and enjoy developing and building working relationships. This role provides many opportunities to further develop your behavioural capabilities, providing plenty of exposure within the business and with our key stakeholders.
You will:
-Lead the facilitation and tracking of multiple medium / large programmes to ensure deliverance of key strategic workstreams within the Property sector, providing clear objectives and direction.
-Ensure programme reports are maintained, consistently reviewed, and updated to supply accurate updates to the Property & Construction Leadership.
-Actively manage and where necessary escalate risks, issues, and other dependencies, constructing suitable action plans to rectify and deliver the project.
-Lead internal governance meetings / steering groups to ensure key actions / decisions are agreed to drive deliverance of key activity across the estate.
-Continually manage and implement the appropriate governance across the function.
-Utilise the data available and work with wider teams in the rollout of an interactive and live dashboard, providing a one source of the truth of all live activity within the estate.
-Identify and drive efficiency opportunities across programmes, ensuring resources are utilised in the most effective way.
-Undertake cross-functional analysis of project and programme data looking at trends an inform business planning.
-Develop communication and engagement materials and hold upskilling sessions on the use of various Microsoft packages, inclusive of Power BI.

-You will have a strong project / programme management track record, in a retail or similar fast-paced environment, and a good understanding of managing moving deadlines, multiple project strands, and critical paths.
-You will have delivered or supported change in a cross functional environment, by inspiring and influencing others beyond your direct reporting line and have the ability to build strong relations and networks with internal and external stakeholders.
-Ability to persevere with significant change and challenges, finding creative ways to overcome barriers, and bounce back from setbacks.
-Previous experience of managing data and creating reporting templates. Utilising data to identify risks and opportunities and to develop new ideas and concepts.
-Innovative and are always looking for a way to continuously improve procedures to make them simpler, easier, and quicker for the team and end users.
-You will be a forward thinker with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
-Educated to a degree level or relevant accreditation.
-Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and have previous knowledge of using Power BI.
