The Property Team here at Boston Borough Council have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Officer to join our team where no two days are the same!
We are looking for an organised individual with a proven track record of providing technical support on asset management programmes and managing contractors to ensure the Council deliver quality outcomes.
You will:
Provide technical oversight and project management for a variety of maintenance building and construction works delivered by the council
Undertake independent on-site inspections and ensure works are undertaken in accordance with, and compliant to, Works Information, regulatory and statutory requirements
Report on non-compliance and remediate defects with contractors
Ensure that Council owned assets are maintained to a high standard wherever possible using available funding
Working creatively with other project leads to deliver successful outcomes through the Towns Fund and other initiatives
What we need from you:
• Degree/HND equivalent qualification in building maintenance, construction or surveying
• Experience with managing Contractors, contract administration and supply chain management
• A full, clean driving licence
