We are looking to recruit a suitably skilled person to manage cover arrangements for teaching staff, liaising with the Senior Leadership Team and PA to the Principal to ensure that cover staff are set-up and have the equipment required. Cancer Alliances are key to affecting the transformational change needed to achieve world-class cancer outcomes for their population as set out in the Cancer Taskforce strategy. The work of the Project Implementation Officer will support multiple projects across the Cancer Alliance, as we deliver cancer pathway improvements and research and innovation initiatives, with administrative and PMO tasks as directed by the Project Manager. The role will have the opportunity to lead on projects and initiatives across the Cancer Alliance including Clinical Effectiveness and Performance and Personalised Care workstreams. The post holder will have well developed communication and organisational skills to support the Cancer Alliance in managing their transformation and improvement programme; and will ideally have experience of supporting complex projects, with knowledge of current NHS issues a real advantage. They will be able to adapt their ways of working to ensure the best results and be willing to learn new skills Key relationships will include: Cancer Clinical Leads in South Yorkshire, Bassetlaw & North Derbyshire Cancer Operational teams in all our acute hospitals The SYB Cancer Alliance Programme team The work-streams Senior Responsible Officer Members of the Work-streams Project Delivery Group Colleagues from other Cancer Alliance networks

Support the development of South Yorkshire CYP End of Life and Palliative Care project plans and the delivery of agreed milestones and objectives, including monitoring the tight project timelines with multiple critical milestones. Provide project support and assistance to the individuals in the SY CYP Alliance Programme Team, ICB childrens commissioners, clinical lead and ICB PeoL leads. Organise and co-ordinate SY(B) CYP End of Life and Palliative Care system meetings (Steering Group & Sub-Groups), ensuring that regular meetings are established, reports are produced and disseminated in a timely way and actions are followed up adjusting plans to accommodate complex and changing priorities. Set up and maintain risk and issues logs. Working closely with stakeholders across South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw to monitor and address risks and issue resolution to ensure SY(B) CYP End of Life and Palliative Care projects deliver to time, quality and cost. Co-ordinate minutes, agendas and papers for distribution in preparation for system meetings, (Steering Group and Sub-Group) ensuring this is done in a timely manner.
