What you'll be doing

As a Business Analyst within the Commercial and Network Planning team, you will be the key support in providing a high-quality business analysis and reporting service to assist in understanding financial performance and key trends. This will encompass periodic management reporting, planning, and forecasting, budgeting, commercial reviews, and ad-hoc analysis.

You will work with Sales Account Managers to gather intelligence and forecasts from our clients focusing on our top volume clients. You will also support and challenge across the business to improve client volume forecasting. In addition to this, you will use our systems and process to produce the client volume forecast which feeds into business and network planning.

As a Business Analyst you will present your numbers back to the Sort & Operations team, and a range of stakeholders across the business. The intelligence and depth of understanding you gain from working with Client Managers will put you in a strong position to have a significant impact on the department and wider business

In response to the Carter Reviews diagnostics work team was introduced, however following the Mike Richards review further investment was secured to increase the team size to manage the increased outputs for Diagnostics including delivery of Community Diagnostic Centres as well as the diagnostic pillar transformation. The Business Analyst is responsible for investigating and analysing different aspects of the business activities, recommending changes to make those activities more efficient, and coordinating the implementation of those changes.

The Business Analyst is also responsible for identifying where and how automation could improve existing business processes, and for managing the implementation of that automation.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
a) Serve as the conduit between the business users and the technical staff in the ICT department and associated external organisations.
