Our client is a leading manufacturer that is dedicated to producing products that's quality is recognised as second to none. With a strong order book & growth into various export markets they are looking for a Piping Design Engineer to join their Engineering team.

Role & Responsibilities:

Run piping design projects through all stages of design through to handover to construction ensuring design deliverables comply with latest standards and specifications

Involved in the design team activities to execute projects with specifications, procedures and industry standards

Deliver execution strategies, layouts, studies, bid and design packages

Attending site meetings when required

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
HND/HNC in relevant subject of experience in piping process design.

Experience in a relevant industry preferably has field piping design expertise working with oil & gas, PetroChem, cryogenic or LNG companies.

Experience working on brown-field projects and installations is beneficial.

Working knowledge of other engineering disciplines and their interactions with Piping and Layout. Hands-on experience of SmartPlant 3D piping software and associated modules is mandatory.

Experience with drafting tools (AutoCAD, Microstation etc.) is essential.

A working knowledge of valves, in-line devices and typical support details

We are recruiting for a Design Manager to join a Tier 1 contractor to work on a number of schemes in the Surrey, Crawley, Reigate and South West London areas. The company are one of the most successfully privately owned profitable contractors in the country and their Southern operations are based from their office near Reading and turnover in excess of £1 billion a year.

Schemes in the pipeline are £30 million DFE school schemes, Spec Office developments and several Hi Rise student schemes.

You will be responsible for the information flow between client, consultants, subcontractors and your own internal teams and take the lead on the framework schemes.

You will ideally have worked for a tier 1 or larger regional contractor on schemes above £10 million and have experience of both D&B projects and framework negotiations, be able to demonstrate excellent work practices, attention to detail, organisational skills as well as the ability to identify opportunities and potential issues.

Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience in teaching art at the secondary school level.
  • Ability to teach some DT.
• Desirable:
  • Previous experience in curriculum management or a leadership role within a school setting.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
