Provides clerical, administrative and technical support for a team of DSCC staff, working independently under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager.

Establishes and creates files/records and filing systems for inmate records.

Operates a web-based program designed for designation processes involving U.S. Probation Office (USPO), U.S. Marshals Service (USMS), and the Bureau of Prisons (Capture).

Fields questions from institutions, residential re-entry centers, regional office, Judges, Probation Officers, USMS, inmate families, and the general public regarding sensitive information.

Typical assignments include:

• Ordering and maintaining office supplies.

This announcement is for a position as a FEMA Local Hire. Local Hire employees help FEMA respond to, recover from and mitigate hazards by performing a variety of emergency management functions which are not limited to disaster survivor assistance, conducting and verifying damage assessments, and providing administrative, financial and logistical support.

Local Hires are Temporary Positions. The Local Hire Program is an appointment type granted under the Robert T. • Utilize the Defense Civilian Pay System to collect, sort, post, update and review time, attendance and labor data for assigned personnel each pay period.
• Respond to non-technical requests for information regarding office functions, status of reports, duty status of office personnel, or other information available from files.

• Manage the Aircraft Operations Division (AOD) Program and Infrastructure Branch.
• Evaluate employee and branch accomplishments; present branch activities to AOD management.
• Recommend employee promotions and recognition; approve leave; implement performance modifications and take corrective actions as appropriate.
• Develop, organize, administer, evaluate, coordinate and oversee a comprehensive functional area management structure for all functional areas.
• Define and conduct monthly functional area review cycles to include a review or technical, cost, schedule, and risk items for each functional area.
• Coordinate with the FOD Business office and the JSC CFO office to prepare consolidated reporting which encompasses all functional area budgets to be presented to the Aircraft Operations Division (AOD) office monthly.
• Review all new agreements and reimbursable customer estimates before forwarding the agreements and estimates to Division for approval and actively manage all existing agreements to include MOUs, MOAs, ITAs and 7600A agreements.
• Consolidate and coordinate aircraft projected schedule updates between all aircraft platforms and provide a list of requested AOD long range schedule changes to be discussed at the weekly control board.
• Perform a full range of supervisory duties which includes assigning and evaluating work; recommending personnel actions; taking disciplinary actions; and identifying training needs and developing employees.

The Opportunity

This position works out of our Plano, TX site in the Neuromodulation division. Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum.

As the Administrative Assistant, you will provide primary administrative and overall support and coordination for the DVP of Operations and their staff. As the Administrative Assistant you will complete special assignments and projects as required to enable efficient departmental operations.  This individual will interact with key internal and external stakeholders so a high level of professionalism is required.

What You’ll Work On

• Assists with meeting arrangements, calendar management, travel arrangements, expense reimbursement, invoice processing and other administrative tasks as required.
• Leads, organizes, and manages all details related to event planning for corporate offsite meetings.
• Creates, edits and reviews, proofreads and manages complex documents, spreadsheets and presentations requiring aggregation of materials, inputs and comments from multiple stakeholders – demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint is especially critical
